Helen is surviveed by her one remaining brother, Morris R. Gorman (Morrie); children, Mary Kay Winther (Bill), Mike Skerritt (Barbara); Steve Skerritt (Janet) and Margie Alzona (Jun); grandchildren, Michael Winther (Lisa), Jason Skerritt (Bernadette), Karra Ryska (Dan), Matthew Skerritt, Joseph Skerritt, Jenae Skerritt, Zachary Skerritt, Erin Alzona and Jenna Alzona; great-grandson, Kaden Ryska. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dan and Mary B. (Rohr) Gorman; husbnad, Thomas "Tommy" Skerritt; brothers, Frank Gorman, Tom Gorman, George Gorman and Ted Gorman; half brother, Glen Gorman; and half sisters, Florence Hiller, Catherine Williams and Elinore Winkler. She served in the United States Army Nurse Corps, 11th Evacuation Hospital (Semi Mobile) in World War II. She graduated from Ridge Township High School in 1938 and St. Joseph Hospital School of Nursing, Fort Wayne, Indiana, in 1941. She was always positive, forward looking, and ready for fun and adventure. She served her family selflessly and joyfully and raised her children well.
