Helen Davis' Obituary
Helen Davis (nee Bolton) of Encinitas, CA., formerly of San Fernando Valley was born July 17, 1927 and passed away November 9th, 2017 at age 90. Beloved Wife of late Ben Davis and late Ralph Jones Sr. Beloved Daughter of late Edward & Margaret Bolton. Devoted Mother of late Helen(Jim) Kinzel, Ralph (Candy) Jones, Ronald (Lori) Jones, Donald (Carol) Jones, and Debra (James) Winkle. Loving Grandmother of Margaret Trainer, Andrea Macrina, the late Albert Burba, Dustin Helwig, Holly Carlson, Andrew Jones, Alex Jones, Beth Giles, Steve Jones, Amy Jones, Krista Earle, Matt Jones, Greg Jones, Kara McNeilly, Michael Johnston, Aisa Diaz, and Zachary Winkle. She also has 27 great-grandchildren.
Helen was a beacon of wisdom, humor, and love to all her family and to whom she met. She will be remembered by the words she spoke, her advice, and stories of incredible travels, experiences, and shopping trips. She was as charming as she was strong-willed, always insisting upon doing whatever she could to make her family happy - dressed in the most fabulous outfit, of course. She was generous in her giving, whether it be in cash to go spend at the casino, an extra helping of butter on your potatoes, or with the annual Christmas giveaway. She could make anyone fall in love with her spirit in the blink of an eye with her infamous one-liners about her "former life" or blatantly flirtatious remarks (not even the cashiers at Trader Joes were safe). Above it all, Helen made every member of her family feel valued, important, and loved. With a little confidence from grandma, one was able to achieve their dreams knowing they had someone with such wisdom who believed in them. Her tenacity to live such a robust life of love, laughter, and all things red, fur, gambling, full of calories and the Chargers, is survived by her loving family.
