Hazel Agnes Johnson's Obituary
Hazel Agnes Johnson, 82, a long-time Escondido resident, passed away at Palomar Medical Center in Escondido, on January 6, 2013, following a sudden illness. She was born in Oroville, CA on May 4, 1930 to James Raymond Carey McCauley and Mary Frances (Moore) McCauley. Hazel graduated from Escondido High School, Class of 1947 and then attended Palomar College and Chico State University. Hazel was predeceased by her husband, Emil Arthur "Art" Johnson; her sister Mary Jane McCauley Morgan; and her beloved cats, Shu Shu, Ching Ching, and Lobo "Gray". She is survived by her three children, Jimmy Johnson (Karryl), Laura Young (Tom) and Cindy Hazel was an active member of several Masonic organizations for many years, the Escondido Grandmothers Club and a volunteer at the Escondido Historical Society.
