Harold Lewis Frick's Obituary
Harold Lewis “Hook” Frick, age 81, of San Diego, California passed away on Saturday, September 4, 2021. Hook is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Leonor Espidol Frick; his children, Colette Reza and spouse, Art Reza, Lewis Frick and spouse, Annie Reid, Richard San Jose and partner Amy Johnson , and Robert San Jose; his brother, Neil Frick; and his grandchildren, Tiffany Reza, Kela Aguilera and spouse, Richard Aguilera, and Amber Frick. He is predeceased by his parents, Donald and Nettie Frick, and his sister, Jeanette Turner.
Hook was born on April 23, 1940, in Highland Park, Michigan. He graduated from San Diego State University in 1982 with a degree in Vocational Arts. In addition to serving 20 years in the United States Navy, Hook also owned and operated San Diego Custom Embroidery. He was also a Teletype Maintenance and Repair Instructor for the San Diego Community College District and an Electrician. Hook was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who cared deeply about his family. It was his passion to race pigeons, putzing around in his garage, gardening, cooking, drinking Budweiser, playing cards with friends and family, and passing the time with his dogs. He was a problem-solver who loved to help others. Hook will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know him.
