She is survived by daughter, Linda Courton (Danny); son, William Murphy (Janice); grandchildren, Kelle Wright (Robert), Douglas Courton (Dena), Christa Matlock (Jasen), and Ryan Murphy (Jamie); great grandchildren, Lucas Wright, Mallory Wright, Carsen Matlock, Evan Matlock, Owen Matlock, Katelyn Murphy and Michael Murphy. She was married to James M. Murphy for 48 years before his passing in 1999. The Murphy's moved to Escondido in 1961, before relocating to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1978. Gloria returned to San Marcos in 2001. She was a hardworking woman and will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Escondido.
