Mrs. Tapia is survived by her husband of 41 years, Jesus Tapia; daughters Dolores Tapia and Emigdia Palecki (Paul); sons Maximino Tapia, Benjamin Tapia (Maria Robles), Santiago Tapia (Elza); sisters Robertina Vargas and Rosa Gutierrez; brother Esteban Gutierrez; and eight grandchildren. She was a homemaker. She attended St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Church of the Resurrection in Escondido. She enjoyed playing with her grandchildren
