George L. Smallen's Obituary
Mr. Smallen was preceded in death by his mother and father Mabel and Ray Smallen and sister Aileen Mellot.
He is survived by his wife Thelma; step daughter Sherry Greene (John). Also a nephew, grand nephew and great grand nieces. He was a member of the U.S. Air Force and served as a sergeant in the European Theater during WWII. He completed 2 years at Compton Junior College. He enjoyed travel, gardening, and people and talking about Arkansas. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Disabled Veterans, Kiwanis and Lifetime member of the Springdale Schools Alumni Association. He was also active in the 397th Bomb Group In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the First United Methodist Church Foundation of Escondido, 341 Kalmia St. Escondido, CA 92025 or the Elizabeth Hospice.
