George Mara's Obituary
George went to be with our heavenly Father on April 7, 2014 at the age of 96. He was born February 22, 1918 to Margaret and Edward O'Mara in Worcester, MA, and was one of eight children.
George was a WWII veteran Warrant Officer JG serving in the US Army from 1940-1946. He went on to work in the Aerospace industry, where he contributed to the construction and maintenance of the Space Shuttle Columbia, and retired to Escondido in 1983.
George was preceded in death by Marge, his wife of 42 years; and is survived by his sister, Kathleen Fly; along with many loving nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will follow the services at the American Legion Post 149 in Escondido.
