Franklin Louis Sherman's Obituary
Franklin Louis Sherman was born on February 9th 1937 in Wesley, Iowa one of the 7 boys. Father Charles Leroy Sherman went as Roy. Mother Ruth Valeria Loebig moved there family to Austin Minnesota in 1942. Franklin was a natural at Track Football, loved to play the guitar, Frank met Sharon Ione Krull when they were barely 21, they got married February 14 1958. Had Torin Thomas in 1959 and when Sharon was pregnant with Jamie they decided to pack up and move to California.
They had another son in 1963 named Billy Dean who drowned at the age of 2 in a swimming pool.
Frank was a milk man for many years he also was a lead singer in a Country Western Band. He was so good he would open the stage for Glen Campbell. He also sang at the Gran Ol' Opre and got 2nd place in a singing contest. Sharon and Frank seperated in 1971. Frank raised Torin and Jamie, he bought a house across the street from a Catholic Church, our Dad Frank had us so involved at the Church we went to school there, to Church there, and also cleaned up the Church grounds. It was our way of life! Torin was an Altar boy for 12 years at St. Genevinve Catholic Church.
Frank married Ester in 1975 she passed away from M.S. Frank moved to Escondido after retiring from Miller Brewery Company, to be by his kids and grand kids. He was a grandfather to Summer, Matthew, Megan, Torin, Michael and Carson. He was a devoted Catholic, it was his life the Fatima, God, and the Catholic literature. Frank was never short for words, loved to talk, he will be missed more than I could ever tell you. Franklin Louis Sherman passed on June 11th at 10:45 A.M. due to cancer. His last words he said, "She's come for me." And he took his last breath, and went peacefully.
We love you Dad, you're the best ever. I know for a fact you are the best man I ever met.
