I always loved talking to Sandy and hearing his stories of life, he was quite the story teller!
I remember meeting Sandy in person for the first time in the Houston, TX airport as he was flying in for a visit and I was returning from a business trip. We were both on the same flight to Corpus Christi and as I was entering the gate area, I saw this delightful older gentleman holding up a sigh that read, "Jill", it was adorable to see him there with his sign! We chatted the whole flight and enjoyed dinner at Kiko's afterwards.
I also fondly remember his attachment to the grapefruit trees he planted in the backyard at the home on Cape Lookout. He always wanted us to find a tenant that would water and take care of the grapefruit trees and every year when he would visit, we would visit the house so he could check on the grapefruit trees and he was always happy to see the trees were thriving and producing delicious grapefruit!
Sandy will be missed by many, but he left behind a lot of great memories!

Sending white light of loving energy to Sandy's eternal soul. And loving light out to the family as well.
Namaste!

My deepest and heartfelt sympathies to the entire Crow/Deutz and extended family member's.
My Dad, Jerry Buchert worked many years for Sandy. There's one story about Sandy that has always stuck is one night Sandy had stopped by the office when it was very dark. He had brought his little dog, Midnight with. He got back in the vehicle and couldn't find Midnight so off he went to search for that dang dog. He called and called him but no Midnight. He finally gave up. Got back in the car and happened to look in the rearview mirror and there in the back seat sat Midnight looking at him like what I have been here the entire time you were calling for me. Sandy's dog's at the plant were also planted in my memories from the Boxer's Sargent and Major, to the many German Shepherd's. They were my entertainers and friends growing up. I grieved the most for a dog named Tiawnee not sure of the spelling. The circumstances of her death still haunt me to this day! Oh and I will always treasure flying in his Cessna from Alexandria back to Marshall. That was awesome and the only time I ever flew in a plane! Fly high Sandy you were one of a kind.
Our sympathies to the Crow family. What a character! Stories about Texas and flying. A visit to the family home in Escondido when Marcella was still living, and Sandy's new home near Lake Hodges. A Christmas visit to the homes of John David and Becky. A tour of an aircraft carrier with Sandy, and a visit to the cemetery where Marcella was buried.Breakfast with the guys (and one gal) at McDonalds was always educational. Phone calls. Letting me do legal work for them. What a blessing to have known this man and some of his family members. I drive by the family home on North 6th St. in Marshall several times a week, and remember the Deutz & Crow legacy here. Our prayers are with you. Paul and Joanne Stoneberg
Many memories helping him wrangle his Bonanza and later the twin into his hanger. Also the day he ended up landing on the bank of the canal. Think he said it was an emergency landing but heard a lot of laughing coming from the office when Leo, Sandy and Dad were discussing it.
With these deaths we truly are losing the last of the Greatest Generation. Enjoy the hanger flying there are some great ones there to meet you.
