Frank spent is career as a Systems Analyst for Burroughs, Cadence and Unisys, where he made significant contributions and they didn’t want him to retire.
Frank was a quiet man with a great sense of humor. He had a passion for running which took his family, and the neighborhood, to Hawaii for the Honolulu Marathon. He was an avid golfer where he competed in a seniors circuit for what was known as the ugliest green jacket, which he came home with several times. Frank enjoyed boating, fishing and camping in the Sierras where he passed down the tradition to the next two generations. When he wasn’t watching sports, he turned on reruns of The Duke. One of his favorite sayings by John Wayne was, “We’re burnin’ daylight”. He became quite the traveler in retirement, visiting Ireland, Germany, Turkey, Italy, Iceland, Hawaii, Australia, and more with Carole. When in Maui, he routinely stood on his lanai at sunset and blew the conch shell.
Frank coached his boys in soccer and baseball when they were younger. Although Frank bled Dodger Blue, he started to watch the Padres in his later years.
Those that knew Frank know he loved food and appreciated a good beer, ok Coors Light; especially sitting in his lawn chair in the driveway after a long run. He treasured his weekly breakfasts at local haunts with friends. He also ruined Friday night pizza with too much garlic, but it was his favorite.
Frank was a loving son, brother, uncle, husband, father, Papa, great-grandfather, and friend. He will be deeply missed by family, friends and all those whose lives he touched. May he rest in peace.
