Frank C. Gregerowicz's Obituary
Escondido – Frank C. Gregerowicz, 88 passed away March 16, 2017, peacefully at his home. He was born July 3, 1928 in Bloomfield, N.J. to the late Alexander Gregorowicz and Carolinka Jacynute. He graduated from Bloomfield High School in the class of 1946 and joined the United States Marine Corps in May of that same year. After 27 years of honorable and loyal service, he retired as Mastery Gunnery Sergeant.
Frank’s next passion was found working at Chaparral Elementary School in Poway, California, from 1974 to 1992. There he enjoyed working alongside great teachers and all the great children who passed through the doors.
He was a parishioner at the Church of the Resurrection in Escondido for 46 years. Frank is survived by his daughter Keri (Robert) Gielczyk, granddaughter Shannon Gielczyk, and his sister Helen Wisneiski of Lake Hopatcon, N.J.
A public viewing will be held on Friday, March 24, from 9:00 am to 10:30 am at Alhiser-Comer Mortuary in Escondido. Funeral mass will be celebrated at the Church of the Resurrection at 11:00 am, with a graveside service to follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park in Escondido.
Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to either the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer’s Association.
