Mrs. Gilbert was preceded in death by her husband Wallace Gilbert in 2006. She is survived by her brother Doyle Williams; sisters, Marie Ford and Marjorie Calkins; brother-in-law, Donald Gilbert (Janice); and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in her name to Elizabeth Hospice, 150 W. Crest St., Escondido, CA 92025 and Escondido Historical Society, 321 N. Broadway, Escondido, CA 92025.
