Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon "Bob" Stanley Urschel; sister, Helen Blackwood Radmacher; brother, Robert Blackwood; and parents, William and Lena Blackwood. She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Urschel Huettl; son, Stanley Robert Urschel; grandson, Michael Huettl; granddaughters, Christa Urschel May, Johanna Urschel Birch, and Danielle Huettl Harris; great granddaughters, Brooke Huettl, Carli Huettl, Haley May, Avery May, and Aurora Harris; great grandsons, Orion Harris, and Raiden Harris. Evelyn graduated from Escondido High School in 1938. She was an Administrative Secretary for the Escondido Elementary School District for 32 years.
