Eunice had a great empathy for suffering people and animals. In particular, there was a lonely horse that lived nearby. It was kept in a very small fenced corral, and not ridden or taken out by its owner. Eunice visited him regularly, brushed his coat and brought him carrrots. She also spoke with the owner, suggesting he upgrade his care. When that didn’t work and she was shooed off the property, she kept visiting the horse when he wasn’t noticing. I was very touched by her compassion and way of putting her beliefs into action. Thank you, Eunice, for being a role model.
