Ernie Bryant's Obituary
He is survived by his wife, Joan Bennett Bryant; daughters, Glenna Roark, Luan Lissner (Andrew); grandchildren, Philip Mark Bower, Dr. Kris Bower, Donovan Roark, Kelsey and Elise Lissner, great-grandson, Philip R. Bower; brothers, Bob Bryant, Emery Bryant, Gerald Bryant; sisters Betty Weatherwax and Beverly Austin. In 1942 he joined the Navy to fight in World War II. He was a Gunneer's Mate First Class on the aircraft carrier "Essex". He attended Corona High School there he played football and baseball where he was the star pitcher. After the War, he returned to Corona and attended Chaffey College where he was the starting half-back on the football team. One of his proudest sports ach One of Ernie's passions was his love of horse racing. He himself owned several racehorses, including an off-spring of Triple Crown Winner Secretariat, and won many races at Caliente, where he frequently treated his family and friends to vacations in Rosa
