Emily Minchau's Obituary
Emily Minchau, born on April 7, 1935, in Bellis, Alberta, Canada, passed away on July 23, 2024, in Escondido, California, to be with Jesus.
As the second oldest of fourteen children, Emily cherished her close-knit family, with four siblings—Jennett, John, Peter, and Nestor—remaining.
A proud graduate of Business College, Emily began her career as a payroll clerk. However, her greatest joy came from her roles as a devoted homemaker and loving mother. Her life was a testament to her dedication to learning, community service, and her faith. Emily was actively involved in numerous church events, including Women’s Aglow and various women’s ministries. She also passionately pursued gardening, crafts, and Bible study.
Emily is survived by her beloved husband, Ed Minchau; her two cherished daughters, Carin Raedel (and son-in-law Ken Raedel) and Lori Peacock (and son-in-law Jeff Peacock). Her legacy endures through her grandchildren: Stacie, Brittney, (m, Kevin), Kenneth, (m, Yelena), Rebecca, Connor, Ryan, and Kyle, as well as her great-grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Amelia, Jaxson, Bentley, and Axel.
Emily will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing her. Her unwavering love, kindness, and spirit will forever remain in our hearts.
Visiting hours will be held at Alisher-Comer Mortuary, 225 Broadway, Escondido CA on Wednesday July 31st from 9AM-11AM, followed by a Celebration of Life at Emmanuel Faith Community Church at 2PM.
Memorial Donations may be made in honor of Emily to the Women’s Ministry at Emmanuel Faith Community Church (EFCC), 639 E 17th Ave, Escondido, CA 92025
