Elizabeth Clegg's Obituary
Elizabeth Clegg, 84, passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2013. She was born on November 2, 1929 in Webster County, Mississippi.
She served in the US Army during the Korean War and later earned a Bachelor's Degree from Mississippi State University. She taught school for many years, including both private and public schools, in Escondido.
Mrs. Clegg enjoyed reading, and loved listening to old gospel hymns and country music. She was a member of Broadway Baptist Church in Escondido.
She is survived by children, Nina (Nikola) Vujko, Georgiana (Lynn) Cox, Betty Valdez, Molly (Glenn) Sweet, George Clegg; sisters, Virginia Ray, Christine Gaye Hightower; and grandchildren, Ryan Cox, William Sweet, Shane Sweet, Glenn Bob Sweet, Raquel Valdez and Michael Valdez. She was proceeded in death by grandson, Kevin Cox.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m until 8 p.m on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at Alhiser-Comer Mortuary in Escondido. A Funeral Service will be held at 12 noon on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at the Mortuary with the interment to follow at Miramar National Cemetery.
