Eleanor "Ellie" Brickhouse's Obituary
Eleanor Brickhouse was raised in Valley Center, CA but spent many years in North Carolina and many other places. She was a member of the San Pasqual Band of Mission Indians.
She is survived by her husband, William ‘Aubrey’ Brickhouse, children; Steve Daniel, Barbara, William and Christina, grandchildren; Danacey, Steven and Dequon, great grandchildren; Joseph, Yawaywish, Rayven, Ruth, her mother Eleanor Litton, brothers Joe, Fred, sisters Anita ‘Ann’, Florence, many nephews, nieces, cousins, uncles and aunts.
To sum up who she was in a few words would be impossible. For all who knew her and loved her, only these words can come to mind – fiercely loyal, courageous, loving, giving and stubborn. She was never one to back down from anything. She can never be replaced or duplicated. A light so bright can never be forgotten and one day we hope to see your light again. You will be deeply missed and always loved.
Graveside services to honor her will be held on Wednesday, September 10, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. at Valley Center Cemetery, 28953 Miller Road, Valley Center, CA, 92082.
