Elaine Oakley Hampel, 90, passed away on January 29, 2018. Elaine was born to Victor and Mae Oakley on December 16, 1927 in Texas. She was married to George Carl Hampel for 60 years before he passed in June of 2006. Elaine is survived by her children: Drs. Nancy Hampel and Richard G. Johnson of El Cajon, CA, Julie Hampel of Huntington Beach, CA and Dr. John Hampel of Sterling, MA; sister: Martha Mae Chiscon of Lafayette, IN; brother: Victor Oakley of Anaheim, CA; 2 grandchildren: Jody Piccinino and Tracy Esslinger and 4 great-grandchildren: Andrew, Cade, Sophie and Lyra.
