Dorothy Ann Libby's Obituary
My mom was someone that knew how to lighten up a room when she entered. A woman who could show compassion and be assertive at the same time. A lady that always had time to listen to my day, a best friend, she always made time to lend an ear or help me figure out an issue or just have a laugh at the end of a day. If it wasn’t for her I know that I would not be the man that I am today. Her pastimes that she enjoyed the most were her grandkids and cooking and painting, but I know one of her favorite things later in life was Thursdays with me going to the Big Three. It was a day we both went out together and spend time having lunch and watching what new and interesting things she could find at the stores. Her love of the holiday season from food, family and presents is what drives me to look for that extra special gift for everyone each year to put a smile on their faces knowing that they probably really didn’t expect to find that gift under the tree. She is survived by her son Harry B.C. Libby, daughter in law Jennifer A. Libby and two granddaughters Rachel K.B.A.N. Libby and Amber R.M.L. Libby and of course Taquito the dog. As they say who chose who I’m still not sure to this day. In my heart I hope she is with my dad and all of the family that she herself loved. She will be missed each and every day and a little bit of me died with her as well. I love you mom now and forever.
