Donald Calac's Obituary
Don Calac, 89, of Escondido, passed away in Sun City, California on Sunday, October 23, 2016.
A Celebration of Life Memorial will be held at Emmanuel Faith Community Church on Saturday, November 5,2016 at 10AM. Burial will follow at the Rincon Reservation Cemetery. Arrangements are made by Alhiser-Comer Mortuary.
Don was born in San Jacinto, California to Saturnino and Edna Calac on November 16, 1926. He graduated from Escondido High School in 1944. Her married Margie (Babcock) Calac on October 2, 1948. He worked for many years with General Dynamics, the Bureau of Indian Affairs, and for the San Pasquale Indian Reservation. Don was a public accountant and extremely involved with Indian Gaming and politics with THE Rincon Band of Luiseño Indians. He was a veteran and served in World War II in the United States Navy.
Don is preceded in death by his loving wife Margie of 61 years.
Don is survived by his two children, Donald J. Calac and Leanne E. Aguilar, brother Delisle and Lois Calac, granddaughter Stephanie and Jacob Martinez, and great-granddaughter Tatum Margaret.
