Diny Brilman Ravenshorst's Obituary
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arend, in 2002. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Margaret and Rick Farr; daughter and partner, Shirley Ravenshorst and Jeff Marshall; granddaughter and husband, Lisa and Ben Garcia; and great granddaughter, Chloe Garcia. Diny was born in Hellendorn, Holland. She married Arend Ravenshorst, the love of her life, in 1947. They immigrated to the United States in 1949. She lived in San Marcos for 51 years. Diny was a wife and mother first, always saying her happiest years were raising her two daughters. In her later years, she was best known as "Beloved Oma" to all. She became a surrogate mother and grandmother to many. The family suggests memorial donations to Interfaith Community Service, 550 W. Washington Ave., Ste B, Escondido, CA 92025. 760-489-6380.
