Mr. Nelson is survived by his wife of 50 years, Barbara "Bunny" Nelson; son Bob Nelson; daughters, Cathy Nelson and Janice Breitenfeld (Karl); brother, Jim Nelson (Pat) and grandchild, Eric Breitenfeld. He was a union plumber for University Mechanical, retiring in 2000. He restored 1950s era cars. He was a member of St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Valley Center, the Late Great Chevys and the Plumber's Local 230
