Mr. O'Brien is survived by his wife of 50 years, Roberta O'Brien of Escondido; sons Kevin C. O'Brien (Judy), Timothy G. O'Brien and Sean W. O'Brien; daughters Michelle A. O'Brien, Catherine J. O'Brien, Patricia D. Warren Van Dam, Susanne M. Rooks and Brianna D. O'Brien; 14 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was chief executive officer of Bank of America Finance Corp. for 40 years.
