David Samuel Faddis' Obituary
David was born to John Paul and Marjorie Faddis on July 10, 1929 in San Diego, CA.
David entered Heaven on July 13, 2013 at the Palomar Medical Center, Escondido, CA
The Faddis Family were early pioneers to the area, dating back to the 1880s. Faddis Civil War Veterans are buried in San Diego’s Mt. Hope Cemetery. At least one Faddis has served in each of our Nation’s subsequent wars. David’s daughter, Nolabeth, served in the Gulf War as a Navy Nurse. David’s father, John P. Faddis served as San Diego County Supervisor in both the 3rd and the 5th Districts in the 1930’s and in 1960. David graduated from Central Elementary, Wilson Jr. High, and Hoover High (1947). He earned a Football Scholarship to Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, where he studied architecture. The Korean War interrupted his education in 1950. He served in the USAF until He is survived by wife, Betty, sons, David Michael (Sally), and Daniel Steven (Beth), and daughter, Nolabeth ,and six grandsons, Daniel Spencer(Leah), Drew Steven(Tanya), Dean Steven, Grant Arthur, David Nathan, Jonathan Aiden, and granddaughter, Sarah An David was a member of Community Bible Church, Vista, CA.
Private entombment was held at Cypress View Mausoleum, San Diego and a Memorial Tribute to David will be held at Community Bible Church, Vista, on Saturday, July 27th at 10 AM .
