Cruz "Spaghetti" Perez's Obituary
He is survived by his wife and one true love Carmen of 59 years; brothers, Tony Perez (Margaret), Gilbert Perez (Josie); John Perez (Josie); sisters Mellie Mena, Nellie Herrera (Rudy) and Sally Hall (Bill); daughters, Gloria Gustine (Bobby), Irene Denzin (Mike), Tina Wilson, Lisa Curtis, Bella Newberg (Nick); sons, Cruz Edward Perez, Vince Perez and Rick Perez (Margie); 16 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He joined the Army in 1946 where he was stationed in Alaska. He was born to Refugio and Francis Perez in Escondido. He lived in San Marcos for 40 years. After his retirement from the Teamsters Union, he built his retirement home in Chihuahua Valley, where he would eventually find his heart to be at peace. He was In lieu of flowers, the Perez family requests donations to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in the name of Michael Denzin.
