Colleen B. Copeland's Obituary
Colleen B. Copeland, 82, a long time Escondido resident, passed away on Sunday, April 28, 2013. Colleen was born on January 26, 1931 in Sioux Falls, SD As a young woman, she moved with her family to San Diego. Colleen graduated from San Diego High School. Later she moved to Louisiana where she met and married Gordon Copeland on August 28, 1948. The Copeland's moved to San Diego in 1961 and to Escondid Colleen loved being a mother and grandmother and her greatest passion was taking care of all of them. She also enjoyed spending time at the slot machines at Valley View Casino. She is survived by her children, Mindy (Richard) Dobbins, Phyllis (Skip) Fielder, Randall (Kem) Copeland; sister, Harriett Arrabie; sister-in-law, Patty Ferdig; seven grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
