CMDR Curtis J. Vague, DDS's Obituary
CMDR Curtis J. Vauge, DDS, was born February 16, 1923 in Ellsworth, Kansas. On October 14, 2012, a wonderful father, friend and husband, left this life to join his parents, Arthur and Marian Vague and his siblings, Keith A. Vague and Jean Williams in eternal rest. Dad is survived by his wife of 61 years, Agnes M. Vague; his sons, David A. Vague and his wife, Susan of Ottawa, Kan., Keith A. Vauge and his wife Mary of Escondido, and Daniel A. Vague and his wife Linda Powell of Escondido; and brother, Charles Vague an Curtis grew up on a wheat farm in Ellsworth, Kan., and after high school, enrolled in ROTC at Kansas State University in 1944. After graduation, he attended dental school at University of Missouri, Kansas City, and graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1947.
He Curtis spent many years pursuing his passion of woodworking, making clocks, tables, jewelry boxes, and anything of wood that crossed his mind. He and Mom instilled a sense of honor and integrity in how we lived our lives and how to respect others. They He will be deeply missed, but not forgotten.
