Cletus is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary; their four children, David, Cris, Les and Cathy; and nine grandchildren, Jacob, Michael, Chad, Steven, Erin, Mark, Sarah, Holly, and Noah. He graduated in 1960 with honors from Cal Poly University in Pomona with a degree in industrial engineering. He was born in Westville, Oklahoma, where he was raised in a log cabin by his parents and grandmother. His family moved to Pomona, CA in 1943 to find employment. After sailing around the world as a merchant seaman for 6 years to save money for college,
