Clay Freeman's Obituary
Mr. Freeman is survived by his wife of 59 years: Rebecca J. Freeman; Daughter: Nina Freeman; brother: John Freeman (Darlene Boyd). He also has 3 Grandchildren: Tar Freeman, Aurora Freeman, and Sarah Freeman. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was in the Asian Pacific on the USS Regulus. He graduated from Santa Paula High School in 1938 and Ventura Junior College in 1940. He went to Cal Poly and obtained a degree in Citrus Fruit Production in 1949. He was a Boy Scout leader, as a Wood Badge Scouter and obtained the Silver Beaver award. He was a sponsor the the Camp Fire Group, a charter member of the First Congregational Church of Escondido and was involved with the American Legion.
