Claude "Chuck" Woods' Obituary
Claude was born in Canton, GA and lived in Athens, TN until he moved to Michigan in 1952 where is was a singer and MC. He was in the Army for a brief period of time. He moved to the San Diego area in 1955. He was retired from General Dynamics where is worked as an Engineer for 30 yrs. He also served on the board as Union Vice President. Claude was in the Western Swing Hall of Fame in Sacramento, CA, Oklahoma City, OK and Seattle, WA. He was MC for numerous benefits and fundraisers. He was 32nd Mason and also a Scottish Rite Mason.
Claude is preceded in death by his Wife: Helen Woods, Parents: John E. Woods and Mary L. Woods, Brothers: (Willie) James Woods, Youit Woods, and Clyde Woods; Sisters: Marie Woods Webb and Carolyn Woods; Special Nieces: Dee Tillette and Debbie Webb Hughes.
He is survived by his Sisters: Jean Woods and Martha Wagner. Special Niece: Linda Raper Edgmon, Special Nephews: Bobby Webb and Claylon Woods. Other Nieces and Nephews: Robin Phillips, Kim Womac, Denise Dalton, Rita Gass, Wayne Woods, Marsha Taylor, Mary McKinney, Virginia Hennessee, Kathy Johnston, Carolyn Cass, Donna Sweatt, Tony Webb and Diane Woods. Special Friends: Ray and Jennie Poe, Tony Graziano, Jimmy Lester and Kim Beck and numerous other friends.
He was a blessing in many live and was a blessed man in his life.
