Carolyn Lee Primo's Obituary
Carolyn Lee Primo passed away on January 25, 2022. She was full of life with a generous nature, was incredibly smart, beautiful, and strong-willed. We will greatly miss her dazzling smile and contagious laugh.
Carolyn was a longtime resident of Rancho Bernardo, graduated from the University of San Diego, and intended to be a paralegal. However, with the encouragement of her professors, she went on to graduate from the USD School of Law. Carolyn passed the bar exams in both California and Montana, where she owned property. She practiced family law and later, as she cared for her husband who faced serious health issues, helped families advocate for their loved ones in long term care communities and with the health care system.
Carolyn was a faithful member of San Rafael Church and was involved in many church functions. She helped teach First Holy Communion classes and participated in summer camps for the children, was responsible for organizing the Mass of Remembrance and the Blessing of the Animals celebration. Her flair for decorating was much sought after and enhanced many church activities.
She was also committed to her community. Over the years Carolyn volunteered at the Birch Aquarium, taught ballroom dance at local elementary schools, did fund raising for the American Heart Association, and assisted her HOA with legal matters.
Carolyn enjoyed music, parties, and traveling. Her travels included the Galapagos Islands, Equador, Machu Picchu, Baja Mexico, Kenya, Tanzania, Sicily, France, Italy, Brazil, and Argentina.
Carolyn is survived by her sister, Charlotte Zappala, brothers Bryan Auday, Bruce Auday, and Robert Auday, and niece Emily Auday.
The Memorial Celebration will be held on March 30, 2022 at 11:00am at San Rafael Church in Rancho Bernardo.
