Brian Joseph Finneran's Obituary
On the afternoon of April 3rd, 2024, Brian Finneran of San Diego died at the age of 80 after a
courageous battle with cancer.
Brian was born in New York City to Joseph and Margaret Finneran in 1943. He received his
bachelor’s degree from Fairfield University in 1965, and led a successful career in sales,
management and financial services for over 40 years.
In May of 1966, he married Eileen Finneran and together they raised three children, Kelly,
Kristen and Brian Jr.
Brian was known in his community for his kindness and consideration. He derived great
pleasure from helping others, whether it be his neighbors or friends and family. He was a man
who could be counted on, and he was deeply valued by those who knew and loved him.
In retirement Brian took up the hobby of recreational shooting, and developed close bonds with
several of the men he befriended at the range. They enjoyed his humor and intellect, and
although he has “left the range”, he will forever remain in their hearts.
Brian is survived by his wife Eileen, his three children, Kelly, Kristen and Brian Jr., his five
grandchildren, Ryan, Regan, Austin, Connor and Megan, and his two sisters, Mary and Janie.
A mass will be held at San Rafael Parish on May 15th, 2024 at 10:00am.
