Bette Lee Cameron's Obituary
Bette Cameron was born February 8, 1926 in Horton, Kansas to Earl and Lydia Braley. She died peacefully October 18, 2020, one day before her 73rd wedding anniversary here on this earth.
Bette came to San Diego in 1945 where she met the love of her life at Quality Dairy and married Johnny soon after. Bette and John started their family, raising 4 daughters.
Bette’s life was very full with her active life in the church, girl scouts, cooking, family vacations, grandkids, great grandkids and so much more. After her daughter were pretty much grown Bette went to work for Twin Peaks Middle School as a Health Aid, retiring in 1990.
Bette was preceded in death by her husband John, son-in-laws Ken Pierce, Chris Russell and Tony Giacalone. She is survived by her children Sandi Giacalone, Leanne Russell, Carolyn and son-in-law Bruce Watson, Cathy Pierce.
She is also survived by 12 grandchildren: Sara Coleman, Shelley Leymaster, Cari Munaretto, Megan Giacalone, Angela Giacalone, Kristie Morrison, Jenny Hoffmann, Amber Sanders, Summer Pinzon, Forrest Pierce, Christopher Pierce, Matthew Pierce, along with 30 great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, November 16 at 2:00pm at Bethel Baptist Church in Escondido. All are welcome to attend. Mast is required and social distancing with the state guidelines in place due to COVID.
