Bernard Walter Yeatts' Obituary
Deacon Bernard W. Yeatts, 80, of San Diego, CA went home to the Lord on Sept. 30, 2018. He was born July 2, 1938 in Altoona, Pa. son of the late Walter and Eleanor (Dunn) Yeatts.
Survived by wife, Patricia (Baronner) Yeatts and children, Stephen (Debbie Baxter) Yeatts, Janine (Martin) McCann and Christopher (Suzanne Veloria) Yeatts,
grandchildren: Sean (Kaila Tricaso) McCann, Patrick McCann, Kaitlyn (C.J.) Nakamura, Ashely Yeatts and Emily Yeatts, great grand-children: Logan and Quinn Nakamura, sisters Cynthia Hopper, Mary Schroeder and Monica Yeatts, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, step-mother, Maude Yeatts and sister, Linda Burns.
Bernie was a beloved husband, devoted father and doting grandpa.
Bernie graduated from Altoona Catholic High School 1956, St Francis University in 1960, and received his Masters in Theology from USD. He was ordained a deacon at St. Matthews Cathedral in Washington, DC in April of 1976.
Bernie was a mathematician, systems analyst for Control Data Corp and ISSCO, and business manager for Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. He served as deacon at San Raphael Church in Rancho Bernardo.
Bernie’s funeral mass will be held at San Raphael Catholic Church, Rancho Bernardo at noon on Friday, Oct 5th.
