Beda Ortiz Sr.'s Obituary
Beda was a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great grandfather. Beda Ortiz was born May 26, 1933 – December 31, 2021. Originally from Uripitio/Tarandaqua, Michoacan, Mexico. He immigrated to the United States in 1955 on contract with the Bracero program as a migrant farm worker, working up and down the Western United States Coast as far north as Walla Walla, Washington for several years then settled in a North County San Diego to call his home, Pauma Valley and later Valley Center. Beda retired as a welder from Joor Manufacturing Inc. in Escondido.
Beda joins his wife Lidia P. Ortiz, and his beloved son Beda Ortiz, Jr. in heaven. He is survived by his seven children Sylvia, O. Duron, Jorge Ortiz, Gerardo Ortiz, Genoveva Janis, Abraham Ortiz, Alexandro Ortiz, and Veronica Ortiz-Streb, 19 cherished grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
