Armond "A.J." Martineau's Obituary
Armond was born in Langdon, ND and moved with his family to Escondido in 1956. He graduated from Escondido High School in 1959 and married Sharon Weddle on July 28, 1962. They moved to Valley Center in 1969 where he worked at the Valley Center Water District for 28 years, before retiring in 1998. A.J. enjoyed family vacations, fishing, telling stories, and spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Sharon; daughter, Suzanne Palmer (Joe); son, John Martineau (Deborah); grandsons, Nathan Palmer, Eric Martineau and Ryan Martineau; brothers, Marcel Martineau (Peggy), Camille Martineau (Diane); and numerous nieces and nephews. The Martineau family would like to welcome both family and friends to gather at a reception following the services at St. Stephen's Catholic Church in honor of Armond's life. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in A.J.'s name to The Elizabeth Hospice Foundation - www.elizabethhospice.org.
