She was preceded in death by husband Newell, daughter Diane R. Roick, sisters Helen Megget, Alice M. Sanders, Florence I. Mighetto, Helen R. Mighhetto, brother Frank A. Megget, grandson Don M. Martin Jr., great-grandson Jeremy S. Martin and great-granddaughter Andrea A. Baker. She was a long time resident of San Marcos. Mrs. Martin was born in Escondido to pioneer families Megget and Alvarado, and was the great-granddaughter of California governor Juan Bautista Alvarado.
