Anita Louise Moore's Obituary
Anita Louise Moore, a woman of pure heart and trust whose beauty radiated both inside and out, passed away, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness. Born in Memphis, Tennessee in July 1941, Anita was the cherished daughter and only child of Aloysius Louis Meyer Jr. & Regie Mae Marshall Meyer along with her loving stepfather, Thomas (Tommy) Haggard who provided endless love and support.
Anita's faith was a guiding force in her life, having graduated from the Seventh Day Adventist Academy in San Diego, California in 1960. She met Gene Wilkinson at the Acadamy, married and welcomed a beautiful daughter, Deborah Jean Wilkinson. The family settled in Yucca Valley, California, where Anita dedicated herself to being a wonderful mother while developing her career at Security Pacific National Bank. Anita spent many early days at the Colorado river and became a very accomplished water skier. She mastered the art of the shore start along with something most never can do, the shore stop, never getting wet above the knees. Anita also very much enjoyed modeling but eventually followed her passion and went to cosmetology school to become a hairdresser. While always keeping her hand in hairdressing, she ultimately flourished in a career at Vons for over 20 years where she met the love of her life, Richard Moore.
Anita and Richard married on March 24, 1981, at the beautiful Coco Palms in Kauai, Hawaii. Dick and Anita laughed and loved life for 43 joyous years in Escondido California, building a life filled with warmth and happiness and fun. Dick was Anita’s knight in shining armor, caring for her in every way. They enjoyed many adventures, especially loving the trips to Hawaii and Las Vegas. Always keeping Dick on his toes with her endeavors: Jafra, The Hawaii Diet, Amway and flower making to name a few. Anita retired from Vons in 1999, leaving behind a legacy of dedication and kindness and hard work.
Anita is survived by her beloved daughter, Deborah Jean Wilkinson Seals, and her son-in-law, William Alden Seals, grandaughter Danielle Seals ( Ryan) Habedanck, along with her great granddaughters, Harper Rose and Peyton Jane. She leaves behind her siblings— Marie Meyer, David Meyer, Ronnie Meyer, Dale ( Chris) Meyer, Randall ( Jeannie) Meyer and Mearle ( Bonnie ) Meyer along with their children and grandchildren. With the marriage to Richard came three very loved children: daughter Stacey ( Tom) Harpin, granddaughter Amanda ( Eric) Dorris and great granddaughter Brianna, Jaden and Alana, daughter Bethann ( Kelly) Ohl, son Clay MacKinney and grandchildren Christoper and Andy.
