Alva (Al) Griffith's Obituary
Al was the beloved husband of Bernice for 50 years, who preceded him in death. He will be forever remembered by his three children, Barbara (Henry) Natcher, Kathleen (Nick) Klos, and William (Yolanda) Griffith; treasured by his two grandchildren, Jennifer Lee and Shaun Henson; his great-granddaughters, Jade and Shyann; along with countless other friends and family who were blessed to have known him. He was born and raised an Ancar, Colorado. Al was the last of ten children born to the late Ben and Ollie Griffith. As a young man he joined the Merchant Marines, then worked as a New York City Firefighter for 23 years, retiring as a Lieutenant. Al loved his church and Padre's baseball. He touched the lives of many people with his generosity and willingness to help out anyone at anytime. He is now reunited with his only love Bernice.
