Mrs. Hayes is survived by her husband of 64 years, Robert Hayes; sons Robert E. Hayes Jr., Philip Hayes (Danielle); daughters Kathleen Byers (Brad), Joanne Hayes, Marianne Frank (Dave) and Janet Geehr (Edward); sisters Sheila McCarthy and Sheila Kerins; 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was a graduate of St. Mary's Academy in Los Angeles and attended St. Mary's College in Los angeles. She was a homemaker for 64 years. She enjoyed celebrating the holidays and parties with her extended family. She was a writer who recently completed her memoirs. She was an active member of St. Michael's Church.
