Alice Socorro Mercado

Hey everyone it's Reggie. Unfortunately Linda and I won't be able to make it but we love all of u and consider u family and of course in Gods' eyes we ARE family...Alice and my mom became good friends early on throughout the years and as u know she baptized Linda. I hear that my dad and Alice were pretty good dancers together back in the day and my mom said that my 5 foot 3 dad would have to keep his chin up in order to not look so short when dancing with her!...I remember spending the night at her house up on Lincoln across the street from Muir and while our mothers were drinking and laughing Annette and I would be little brats by going ahead in doing stuff we knew would get us in trouble but of course we were too slick to get caught. Or at least we thought we were!...Raymond and his mom used to be somewhere together, like the Eagles Hall, and out of nowhere Alice would say "Pues este!" and then right after that Raymond would say "Pues esta!" and then they would just smile and hug each other. I always thought that was so cool...When I was a young adult and a mature woman would dress all sexy or whatever we would say "You go, girl!" But when Alice would see something like that she would just say "Ella!" and that's how I'll always remember her...We all of course know what it feels like to have someone so dear pass on and Linda and I send our love. Alice is at peace now and one step closer to home, the one that God has prepared for her and us through His mighty power and grace...
