Alfred M. Fikse's Obituary
Alfred M. Fikse, 60, passed away at his Escondido home on Wednesday, December 28, 2011. Al was an active church member his entire life. Everything that he did was with the purpose of glorifying Jesus Christ. It was Al’s hope that his actions would influence others to be lead to the Lord. He was a man of such great faith that he accepted a cancer diagnosis 4 months ago without shedding a tear or uttering a single complaint because he knew where he would spend eternity. Mr. Fikse was born on July 15, 1951 in Artesia, CA. He married Cindey Nyberg on February 14, 1976 in Escondido. Mr. Fikse owned dairy farms in San Jacinto and Escondido for several years before spending the past 30 years at Light & Life Christian School in Escondido. Many families’ lives have been greatly impacted by his role as an educator and administrator. Al He is survived by his wife, Cindey; children, Rebecca (Tyler) Powell, Rachel (Errol) Garnett, Rob (Heidi) Fikse; Ruth (Zack) Arner; mother, Aggie Fikse; sisters, Anna Jean (Eugene) Van Zee, Joan (Kurt) Keys; brother, Myron (Vi) Fikse; grandchildren, Alex
