Nicholas Eugene Aloi

April 29, 1936 - April 9, 2022

ALOI – Nicholas Eugene (aka Nick), 85, of Escondido CA passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on April 9, 2022. Nick was born April 29, 1936 and was predeceased by his parents Thomas Aloi and Mary Aloi and his brothers Thomas Aloi Sr. and Eugene Aloi. He is survived by his wife Mary Aloi of Escondido, CA, and his children Ann Kuss, Nicholas Aloi Jr, Laura Yonce and Thomas Aloi, and was "Pop Pop" to his 16 grandchildren. Nick had also been blessed with four step children Amanda Zimmer, Austin Sawicki (deceased), Glenn Johnson and Stephen Johnson. Nick had a successful life in sales and sales management primarily in the institutional food distribution business with Sysco and Sexton. He had a decades long passion for playing racquetball and enjoyed the coordination of the leagues later in life. Nick was a very outgoing, jovial and compassionate person who would always bring cheer to any room. He will be missed by many. Friends and family will be received from 10:00 am to noon on Friday, April 22, in Alhiser-Comer Mortuary, 225 South Broadway, Escondido with a sermon to follow in the chapel at Alhiser-Comer at approximately 1:00pm with Father Roland Kausas. Interment will follow at 2:30pm Friday, April 22, at Oak Hill Memorial Park, 2640 Glenridge Road, Escondido.
