She is survived by daughter, Carrie (Kelley) Hedges; son, Chris Wood (Jami); grandchildren, Jennifer Saenz, Jesse Wood, Joelle Wood, and Carley Hedges; and a sister, Lee Pelsma (Bernie). She was preceded in death by a daughter, Cathy Ann Wood; and a grandson, Keith Adams.

Mrs. Wood was born in Vista and graduated from Vista High School in 1946. Sharon was an avid Padre's fan, attended Emmanuel Faith Community Church, and was an active member of the Republican Club. She volunteered for many years as a Pink Lady at Palomar Hospital in Escondido. Mrs. Wood's greatest passions were cooking, gardening, and sewing.
