She is survived by her sons, Philip Meza (Judith) and Mike Meza (Claudia); her mother, Emilia Godfrey; sister, Carmen Ojeda; and her grandchildren, Blanca, Bano, Marisol and Nico. She was preceded in death by her father, Philip Godfrey, who she adored with all her heart.

Josie was born in Tijuana, Mexico and was a long time resident of Del Dios.

She had an outgoing personality who never met a stranger, Josie was a giving person who would do anything for her friends and family. She enjoyed gardening, spending time with her loved ones, and was passionate about animals.
