Felix is survived by his loving wife, Esther; son, Robert; daughter-in-law, Kay; grandson, Brett (Theresa) and three great-grandchildren, Taylor, Andrew, and Blake. Felix was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Gertrude; his sister, Norma; and his brothers, Chester and Myron. |
He and his family moved to San Marcos in 1936. After graduating from Escondido High School in 1939, he joined the Army Air Corp and became a B-25 pilot. His overseas duty included many missions in the Gilber, Marshall, and Mariana Islands in the South Pacific. He was awarded several bronze stars and the Distinguished Flying Cross during his military Career. |
Felix owned Foremost Distributorship for many years in San Marcos. He will always be remembered for his quick wit, hard working ethics, and love for his country. He was a hero to all of us, and will be greatly missed. |
The family would like to thank Dr. Leahy for his kind, compassionate, and professional care for so many years. Also, the family extends their deepest appreciation to the Emergency Staff and Critical Care Doctors and Nurses at Palomar Memorial Hospital for their exceptional medical care. |
