Faye is survived by her husband of 54 years, Dick; nieces and nephews, Tom Savage, Mrs. Kathy Page, Mrs. Carole Aick, Mrs. Ginny Mansfield, and Mrs. Barbara Giacalone.

Faye attended school in Marietta and worked at the local telephone company for a short time after graduating from the local high school. She then moved to Cincinnati to attend Business College and worked for a publishing company before getting the urge to "Go West" to California in 1949. She soon found a job with the downtown TWA office as a secretary and was there for 20 years. During this time she enjoyed many European trips, including 10-day adventure to Hong Kong for the Opening of the TWA office there.

During these years, she joined the choir at the First Congregational Church in Los Angeles where she met and later married Dick Heiden. After she retired from TWA in 1971, they purchased a new home in Palos Verdes where they lived for 15 years. During this time, she took up oil painting and needlework and purchased many handsome paintings and needlepoint pieces. She was also secretary and bookkeeper for Heiden Graphics, her husband's business.

In 1987, they moved south to Rancho Bernardo (just south of Escondido) and purchased a hill-top home there. She became active in several needlepoint groups, and they also joined the Rancho Bernardo Community Presbyterian Church, becoming active in the Church Thrift Shop, The Arts Forum, as well as The Chancel Choir. In 2004 they sold their home and moved to the retirement community of Redwood Terrace in Escondido, and found a very "happy home" with many new friends, a very caring staff, and great food!

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Elizabeth Hospice (Escondido), Rancho Bernardo Community Presbyterian Church Music Department, or Redwood Terrace (Escondido), or "Please perform an act of kindness towards someone else today"
