He is survived by his wife, Norma Reyes; his daughters, Arlene Claxton, Adriana Cendejas and Rachel Reyes; his sons, Arthur A. Reyes and Carlos Reyes; grandchildren, Christopher, Vanessa, Arianna, Joel, Johnny, Jessica, Erica, Luis, Lilia, Angel, Diago and Bianca.

Arthur worked as a custodian at Central School in Escondido for over 18 years. He loved to help people and volunteered at Hope Food Inc. as well as participating in Youth Scoccer programs throughout the area.
